The Good Wife is a drama starring Emmy Award winner Julianna Margulies as a wife and mother who boldly assumes full responsibility for her family and re-enters the workforce after her husband's very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail. Pushing aside the betrayal and public humiliation caused by her husband, Peter, Alicia Florrick starts over by pursuing her original career as a defense attorney. As a junior associate at a prestigious Chicago law firm, she joins her longtime friend, former law school classmate and firm partner Will Gardner, who is interested to see how Alicia will perform after 13 years out of the courtroom. Alicia is grateful the firm's top litigator, Diane Lockhart, offers to mentor her but discovers the offer has conditions and realizes she's going to need to succeed on her own merit. Alicia's main competition among the firm's 20-something new recruits is Cary, a recent Harvard grad who is affable on the surface, but is competitive to the core. Fortunately, Alicia finds an ally in Kalinda, the firm's tough in-house investigator. Gaining confidence every day, Alicia transforms herself from embarrassed politician's scorned wife to resilient career woman, especially for the sake of providing a stable home for her children, 14-year-old Zach and 13-year-old Grace. For the first time in years, Alicia trades in her identity as the "good wife" and takes charge of her own destiny.

Good pilot, but someone doesn't know their dog breedsHa, ha. I know no one will read this review but I've got to say something anyhow. My ears perked up when they mentioned the "Italian Greyhound". I have an Italian Greyhound. They're a little toy breed, 12 pounds. We race them for fun sometimes if they run. I didn't realize there were Italian Greyhound tracks in America? Maybe it's because I worked with real track greyhounds and never encountered an Italian Greyhound racing track. Anyhow, thanks for the laugh as I was busting a gut. Anyone that knows their dogs had to be laughing hysterically. Just the visual was enough to almost put me into convulsions..Score: 5/5

Good show, poor deliveryFrom the few episodes that I have seen, the show seemed great: excellent acting, dialog that doesn't seem strained, and a good idea underneath it all. However, I don't see any point in buying the season pass. Today is February 28th, and there had been two more episodes aired on TV since "Hi": "Bang" (on 02/24) and "Alicia's Battles" (on 02/26) and neither is available on iTunes yet. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!This is my absolute favorite show that comes on TV. I tune in every week to see what's going to happen next. You have a wife, Alicia Florick, who has faced the most ultimate betrayl in a couple's relationship, but she shows a TRUE bounce back attitude. I believe this is a must see show for any person, any gender. My husband watches it with me and he agrees this is an AWESOME show. I am glad the iIunes Store is offering these series to purchase, I hope they keep doing this..Score: 5/5
Better than the OthersI'm an attorney and in court quite a bit. Typically I find shows involving attorneys and the legal system too far fetched to be entertained. I've found myself smiling a few times while watching this series because some of the events are pretty close to real life. For example, I was wildly entertained in the episode where they were trying to reverse the murder conviction of the convenience store robber/husband/father. The judge was classic - as was the state's attorney. Very close to events/incidents I have either been a part of or, if lucky, on the side to enjoy the show..Score: 4/5

GOOD Wife!I did not start following the show from the beginning, but recently seeing reruns on tv and then getting some episodes I have found that I really enjoy the show. I do not always like shows about lawyers, but this show does a good job of mixing the courtroom with home life and everyday problems, which makes you want to be more involved in caring about the lives of the characters..Score: 5/5
You and your spouse will love this series.My wife and I were looking for something to watch together. I'm an action/sci-fi kinda guy and she's into reality shows and never the twain shall meet. This show had us both engaged from the very beginning. It is very well written and it gives these characters a lot of depth. I give it a 5 star rating for the content but most importantly for the fact that my wife and I can cuddle up and watch it together..Score: 5/5
