Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) stars as Veronica Mars, a smart, fearless 18-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the mysteries of the wealthy, seaside California community of Neptune, where the rich and powerful make the rules. Unfortunately for them, Veronica doesn’t quite follow them. During the day, she negotiates the halls of Neptune High like any average teenage girl, but by night, she helps with her father’s (Enrico Colantoni – Just Shoot Me!), private investigator business. In between, Veronica adds to her college fund by tackling a variety of problems for desperate classmates. This season, although she is vindicated after solving her best friend’s murder, Veronica becomes embroiled in another mystery that hits even closer to home, following a new local tragedy. Meanwhile, she must deal with her increasingly complicated romantic life and a whole new school year with both familiar and fresh faces.

By far the best season of the seriesVeronica Mars is at peak form in this season. The mystery is complex, with interwoven side mysteries on top of the mystery of the week format. Future stars like Tess Thompson join the cast, and actor jaso Dohring truly gets to shine. The finale is the best episode of the series, hands down - the reveal is satisfying, horrifying, and shakes up the entire series moving forward. Veronica, for her part, grows into herself and strikes a better balance between angry teen out for revenge and a woman struggling to heal from trauma and pain..Score: 5/5

Best Thing Ive Watched in AgesI missed Veronica Mars the first time around but while on holiday I downloaded the first series and LOVED it. I have since bought series 2 and 3. Its such a shame it was cancelled after 3 series. Its witty, smart and with such a great cast. It should have a cult following like buffy, angel etc..Score: 5/5
