Blue Bloods is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan is the New York City Police Commissioner and heads both the police force and the Reagan brood. He runs his department as diplomatically as he runs his family, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry, during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny, a seasoned detective, family man, and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases. The sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin, is a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family's "golden boy;" however, unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a newly minted cop. Jamie's life takes an abrupt turn when he's asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family's legacy.

AMAZING!!!!!This show is just fantastic I have never been so drawn to a show before.. Originally I just wanted to check it out because of Tom sellek but it turned out superb not only are the story lines not boring but I actually look toward to it every week (which makes me sound like I have no life) and now even my husband is into it.. Just absolutely a greatnshow to watch.. Also it is not stressful like other cop shows it really focuses on family dynamic too which is great.. Highly reccomend it,,,.Score: 5/5

Great ShowFor once there is a show worth watching these days. I don't like to constantly see that comedy crap they have on right now and Law and Order has run it's course and I am sick of it. Blue Bloods have definitely added a twist to the war on crime. It give an in depth look into a family that has not only suffered personal tragedy, but is learning to heal and move on. I hope this show stays on for awhile. Networks have been pulling really good shows lately. I am looking forward to season 2..Score: 5/5

Disappointing!!!A big disappointment! Maybe it was just because it was the pilot but it seemed a little to hoakey/shiny/hollywood and not enough gritty, true to life type stuff. It reminded me of the cop shows of the early eighties where at the end of every episode someone has learned a lesson in morality and all the heroes give each other a coy look and a big shiny smile..Score: 2/5
MehThey sure do pack a lot into one episode! some shows would have spread all that drama over a season or two but not these Blue Bloods, I suppose they figure it might get canceled so they should get their moneys worth from the writers. Frankly I would have enjoyed some character development so I could care about this show but are audiences that patient these days? I dunno ask Mad Men or Breaking Bad..Score: 2/5
