Fascinating take on a classic taleThough I’m always interested in what Jonathan Rhys Meyers is acting in, I was skeptical that network TV could do anything exciting with Dracula. I mean, it’s all been done, right? Wrong. They’ve changed it up, twisted it around and come up with a totally different take on the story and the characters. The atmosphere they’ve conjured up is perfect, the sets are lush, the costuming has the feel of the period, but more daring, a flavour of steampunk without pandering to it. The writing is fresh and interesting, and the acting is superb. I’ve found it thoroughly enjoyable, definitely worth watching..Score: 5/5
