I Am Davis...FIERCE!Bette Davis plays herself in a way. The first time I saw this movie, I was captivated by the great acting and talent, direction by Joe Mankiewicz, and the breathtaking performance by Bette Davis. I ended up watching it like 5 times in one week. You say "dang", but it's that good!

Catherine's aunt, Violet Venable (Katharine Hepburn), tries to influence Dr. Cukrowicz (Montgomery Clift), a young neurosurgeon, to surgically end Catherine's haunting hallucinations. By utilizing injections of sodium pentothal, Dr. Cukrowicz discovers that Catherine's delusions are, in fact, true. He then must confront Violet about her own involvement in her son's violent death.
