Not the best pilot.Having not read the source materials, it was all over the place and I had no clue what was going on. I can see potential depending on how the next episodes go.. But really kind of was just like.. what did i just watch. Pilot episode it slow, and really didnt build the characters in a good backstory way to answer questions for people like me who knew nothing about this .. jumped way to much. Last 30% of the episode started to get interesting. I'll give it to the third, or forth episode to see what happens. Definetly has potential..Score: 3/5

Love it - dark, quirky, funny - perfectI was intially interested in the show just based on the stated subject matter (never read the comix book that these character originated from). Part way through the season I was concerned that, while each episode was interesting and entertaining, it was being written on-the-fly and wouldn't come together into a cohesive sotryline. Biy was I wrong. This was an incredible first season and I purchased the entire season after the final episode just to be able to go through all of the episodes again at-will. Great job to the actors, producers, and everyone that worked so hard to pull this series together..Score: 5/5
I liked the comic and this is pretty enjoyable!It does not match the comic, but it's not a comic so you should be okay with that! It's very similar but the characters meet differently and Arseface is already an established character so it's got a lot of differences. That said, it's a great start. Howard Stark as Jessie, Rudy from Misfits as Cassidy, Nikki from Misfits (also played Rani from S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Tulip make for a great cast..Score: 4/5

Grand questionIt is already starting off different than the comic series. Of course I looked for it this Sunday right after for episode two so I'm pretty sure the last 5 minutes of the episode secured me to watch at least the first season and see if it gets picked up for a season 2?.Score: 4/5
A Very Promising StartFeaturing a great combination of action, horror, pathos, mystery, and comedy, the pilot episode of Preacher is quite a raucous and enjoyable ride. With a principle cast that is both talented and engaging, the opening episode of this new AMC series promises more of the same high quality programing, with Jessie Custer (Dominic Cooper) walking right off the comic book page and (hopefully) standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Don Draper, Walter White and Andrew Lincoln..Score: 5/5
