Dark absurd funny smashingly bloodyHave fun. True to the comics. Great cast !!! worth it if only for them. But there is more. A welcome ride :hop along ----take it "with a grain of salt " and have fun !!! Not you typical show: another plus ! Expected disappointment.Didn't expect much. I felt the only way to do a live action version of the comic was a movie or a mini series directed by somene like Quentin Tarantino. ****SPOILER**** The last scene where the guy cuts out his heart wasn't necessary it just made it weird and awkward. In the comic Jesse has the biggest pair of balls of any fictional character so big they make Hemingway John Wayne and Steve Mcqueen cry in the Pilot honestly wasnt sure he was a man and Cassidy's fake accent was just god awful. Not the best pilot.Having not read the source materials, it was all over the place and I had no clue what was going on. I can see potential depending on how the next episodes go.. But really kind of was just like.. what did i just watch. Pilot episode it slow, and really didnt build the characters in a good backstory way to answer questions for people like me who knew nothing about this .. jumped way to much. Last 30% of the episode started to get interesting. I'll give it to the third, or forth episode to see what happens. Definetly has potential..Score: 3/5
Pleasantly Surprised.I waited until I watched 5 episodes before writing my review; and to wait for the show to degrade like ‘Lost’, but it never did. Without knowing anything about the graphic novel this I find this series is very well structured and written, unlike most of the other brain dead programs out there. I rarely endorse a show but I’m willing to go out on a limb and say this is worth buying. Ignore the nay sayers as they are accustomed to being spoon fed dribble and incapable of independent thought....Score: 4/5

80/100 Seems FairCharacters are still a little rough around the edges, but the groundwork for a good story is there, and I have hopes that the season will pan out and become something worthy of its source material. Absolutely Love It !I will start out by saying that I never read the comic book. I never even knew there was one. What the Hell I don't think I have ever read a comic book period. So this review is based strictly on the show. A show which I bought right out of the gate. I don't troll iTunes for the free Pilot episode. Then watch it. And decide to give the show a one star and don't bother watching this piece of s#%t review. All you need to do is read all the five star reviews. Don't base this show strictly on the pilot. But base it on the whole first season. Preacher has everything under the sun and beyond. And you are truly doing yourself a disservice by not watching it. Plus at the time of this review Preacher has been picked up for a second season. And a bump up to a thirteen episode season. So don't waste anymore time. Support this great show. Don't base it on a free episode. Buy the whole season. You won't regret it. And one final shoutout to all you one star and out reviews. While your sitting at your favorite coffee shop or fast food establishment. Using their free WiFi. Try reaching in between the cushions or look around on the floor. Or wander through the parking lot. You might just find enough change to buy a whole season of something. Instead of slamming one episode of something that has the chance of becoming the next great show..Score: 5/5
