Not the best pilot.Having not read the source materials, it was all over the place and I had no clue what was going on. I can see potential depending on how the next episodes go.. But really kind of was just like.. what did i just watch. Pilot episode it slow, and really didnt build the characters in a good backstory way to answer questions for people like me who knew nothing about this .. jumped way to much. Last 30% of the episode started to get interesting. I'll give it to the third, or forth episode to see what happens. Definetly has potential..Score: 3/5
Season 1 : Great Characters, Fun, Violent, prequelAn honest warning, If you find sin, vice, violence and a twist on religion offensive you might want to steer clear. If you have read the comics, you will appreciate this first season as a character developing prequel. It tries to remove some of the coincidental issues in the comic. To be frank with you dear readers, I reread the comics as soon as I found out Joe Gilgun was cast as Cassidy. The man was made for the role. I think it is a great show..Score: 5/5

Absolutely Love It !I will start out by saying that I never read the comic book. I never even knew there was one. What the Hell I don't think I have ever read a comic book period. So this review is based strictly on the show. A show which I bought right out of the gate. I don't troll iTunes for the free Pilot episode. Then watch it. And decide to give the show a one star and don't bother watching this piece of s#%t review. All you need to do is read all the five star reviews. Don't base this show strictly on the pilot. But base it on the whole first season. Preacher has everything under the sun and beyond. And you are truly doing yourself a disservice by not watching it. Plus at the time of this review Preacher has been picked up for a second season. And a bump up to a thirteen episode season. So don't waste anymore time. Support this great show. Don't base it on a free episode. Buy the whole season. You won't regret it. And one final shoutout to all you one star and out reviews. While your sitting at your favorite coffee shop or fast food establishment. Using their free WiFi. Try reaching in between the cushions or look around on the floor. Or wander through the parking lot. You might just find enough change to buy a whole season of something. Instead of slamming one episode of something that has the chance of becoming the next great show..Score: 5/5
