Best Series I've Seen this YearHands down, there are very few series out there that reach the quality of this one. The end of the series felt like it was searching for a way to end a bit. But the first 8/10ths were awesome..Score: 4/5
What a journeyI've never read the book so I didn't know what to expect. Fantastic acting, incredible cinimatography and a compelling story is what I got. It starts out innocent enough... and I really don't want to write more in fear of ruining it for someone that hasn't read the book. Really Good FICTIONALIZED StoryThey don't claim to be a documentary-drama. Its very good as entertainment, and I would never have expected the show to be an accurate portrayal of historical events. Much like Mad Men wasn't a documentary of the 1960s ad men. Relax and enjoy this good piece of entertainment..Score: 4/5
Can we pick up the pace?At the end of 4 episodes I find myself wishing The Terror would get on with it. After setting up its premise and defining its characters very well in the first two episodes, It is now, let's say, skating on some pretty thin ice. The storytelling has begun to feel as bleak and monotonous as the lives of the characters, and their cat-and-mouse with whatever is attacking them is less terror than routine. For a thriller-chiller things have gotten pretty slack. I hope the pace will pick up in the next few episodes. Meanwhile, it looks phenomenal, as most TV costume drama does now. The dialogue, even when the plot is dawdling, sounds authentic to the time. And the cast is great. It's just that the story seems to be lagging behind those other elements. That happens a lot in TV costume dramas, too..Score: 3/5
It takes a bit to take offBut when it does it hits you hard! its got a slow burn to it, i had to watch this with subtitles because i have a hard time with old english and these foos accents makes it even harder to follow up. its still good tho.Score: 4/5
This is a really great show!I read the book years ago and hoped this would be good. It is very well done. Now that both ships have been found ubderwater, it makes the series all the more poignant to watch. Good job!.Score: 5/5

Kind of boringItās an ok show, which I started watching because I loved the book. The only problem is that they seriously deviated from the book and Iām not sure why. Many of the changes involve the Eskimo woman and Captain Crozier and their ālinkā. A lot of the stories tension and mystery derived from that link. Now itās all about Mr. Hickey and Dr. Goodsir. A lot was lost in this tv translation so far..Score: 3/5
