Okayā¦But DisappointingI read the original book which was wonderful and very honest with a great storyline and rich characters. But this series goes totally woke and politically correct; taking liberties beyond the pale and changing the whole storyline of the book; which misdirecting anyone who may want to read the book. If you want a better perspective read the book; this series did a disservice to the book and its author; am I sorry that I purchased the series? Well yes and no ā¦Iām glad to see talented actors and production people who put forth this series get work.But I will remember the shows producers and creators and will be not be watching any future endeavors in any way, shape or form. Way too Politically Correct & Woke for my taste..Score: 2/5

Thank You HBO!!One of the Best Episodic Shows iāve seen in awhile. this was a great watch, show is full of Roller coasters and has a beautiful blend of different genres! currently reading the book because of this show. What a garbageWhat a garbage of a series. The creators go out of their way to vilify all the white people while telling their garbage of a story. Iāve never been racist in my life and itās outrageous that you are trying to incite racial conflicts by pitting the two races against each other. You do not uplift one race at the expense of the other. There are good and bad people in all races and anyone trying to portray it differently is racist him / herself..Score: 1/5

Love the creativityReading the comments is kinda bitter sweet. Wether you hate slavery plots or plots that deal with segregation please understand thatās your choice of preference. But slavery did happen, colored folks was segregated and they were hunted. They werenāt even seen as people. Nobody said white people are evil or what another wrote ā black is good and white is badā. Itās like you dismissed the fact this is a fun FICTIONAL SHOW mixed with true and real situations colored people actually had to go through. And if you ask me slavery is evil and this land we live in has a evil history but itās what each generation to come does knowing their history. We shouldnāt forget we should do better. Wether we donāt see color , or etc. anyways the show was great and magical not only that it opened up a conversation for my household on was it really like that in the past ā no colored after sundown towns and countiesā. Family canāt wait for season 2 til then we are discussing that the travel guide was a real thing, as well as the city in Oklahoma burned down and bombed. So many facts and ppl are butt hurt because the skin color they share is seen doing evil deeds. And itās not even them themselves lol wow! Get over it..Score: 5/5

Really greatI also struggled with the first few episodes and nearly gave up but Iām so glad I didnāt as it just gets better and better and now I look forward to each one, i especially liked the Korean episode and wished there was more of these, please keep making this great series, loving every minute..Score: 5/5
Good adaptionThe book provides shocks aplenty and when I heard that it would be adapted - I was unsure it would match the power of the novel. It did and more! Expanding the story further and tweaking some elements of the original story so that itās fresh for people who have read the book - this really is must see especially in the current climate. All the characters are suffering from some element of discrimination - whether itās racism, sexism or homophobia - and to convey that through a sci-fi / horror lens is inspired. Very good acting, with all actors drawing out the nuances of their characters really well. Highly recommended!.Score: 5/5

TerribleI found this series in poor taste with wooden acting and terrible CGI affects. Watching this series after reading the novels itās a shame they have ruined it like this. I felt like I was watching a BLM protest. I only made it to episode 3 then gave up - such a shame this could have been good!.Score: 1/5
Fresh and well doneI thought this was superb. In itās setting and style itās TV that takes some risks and when they pay off it really hits the spot. I loved the way the individual characters get developed and woven together. Some powerful stuff..Score: 5/5
Unexpectedly PleasantSeeing the artwork a while ago, I was so excited for this... Itās not rubbish, but itās not mind blowingly amazing... The acting is superb, especially from the two leads, and the effects are incredible. (Although I didnāt know what I was scared more of? (Racist America or those monsters?!?!) A very good show to come out, given the current climate, looking forward to the next season! š.Score: 5/5
Bizarre twists and turnsIt wasnāt what I expected, but really loved it for what it is. Itās like Buffy for grownups, but with a social conscience. The monsters are fun and creepy, but itās the racial hatred that truly provide the shocks. Canāt wait for season 2.Score: 5/5
