Big Sky? Small MindedSo obvious what this wants to be. Iāve only watched the first 20 minutes and this is what Iāve seen; A waterfall Shots of mountains and trees A diner A (private) investigator A sheriff (or HP) A bar with a singer A bad boy truck driver And, I kid you not, a woman wrapped in plastic. What is it lacking? So far: Clever writing (is this really David E Kelley?) Honest drama Tight direction Original characters Outstanding music A good sense of humor Top rate performances The characters are stilted and lack any kind of original personality or depth. And itās obviously aimed at an audience that doesnāt want to think too hard. The whole thing was derivative and an almost carbon copy of twin peaks without the talent. And the whole āthat endingā was predictable. The cop was obviously deranged or at the very least corrupt. No thanks. Wanted to like it but Iāve seen it done better. Sorry abc, lightening isnāt striking twice..Score: 1/5
Season 1 was amazing but season 2I loved season oneIt was put together amazingly but season two was a mess I like season two but it was just a totally different thing than what the show was and I understand completely that it Has to change but it couldāve went a different direction.Score: 5/5

Ryan Phillipe - not much more than a cameoRyan Phillipe is in this series for a PART of (so far, through Episode 6) TWO episodes, and the second is for a few minutes. I don't like being misled. Episode 1 is very good. Very, very good. In the rest of it, the plot meanders along with about the same thing, characters dithering over their situations. I am watching it but losing interest..Score: 3/5

Insultingly badBig Sky had a premise brimming with potential. Unfortunately, it is plagued by horrible miscasting, a wholly annoying soundtrack that blasts over the dialogue and ambience every scene, and substandard writing. The blame lies mostly on the director(s) as they are responsible for all of these poor creative decisions. But David Kelly is culpable as well. He is a proven producer who should be embarrassed to have allowed this train wreck to go to air bearing his name in its present form. Stuck with it for three episodes hoping for improvement. Wish I could get those 2.5 hours of my life back..Score: 1/5

A gem in a world full of story fast food.Big Sky might not be for the average young fast food junky, but for somebody that savors good dialog and story twists. A certain amount of attention span is required to follow the charters and often well written and acted dialogs. Most likely hard for viewers, used to todays media junk. Fast paced, with well defined storylines and characters, filled with great dialog that requires attention from the viewer. This is not the show for light entertainment while zapping and chatting ! Excellent cast with a backbone of a solid script and story, that gets a bit stretched thin towards the end of Season 1 - but nevertheless closes with a bang. For a TV series in the landscape of fast food television an absolute gem ! With 15 Episodes a nice and welcome exception, where most Seasons nowadays consist of 7 to 10 Episodes. Giving the actors time to develop, the story time to breath and the beautiful scenery of Montana to shine..Score: 5/5

DisappointedI am a huge fan of C.J. Box, and have read all his books. This was not at all like the book, the characters where cast badly. Acting is not that good. And the story line has been altered too much for my liking. I want my money back for buying the first season pass. HBO should have picked this up and it would have been great.
