While trying to figure out why a young patient won't stop bleeding, House takes Cuddy's challenge and goes off Vicodin for a week in exchange for no clinic duty for a month. If House and his team can't determine the source of his patient's blood loss, the 16-year-old car accident victim will die in a matter of days. As House's withdrawal symptoms become more and more severe, his directives for his patient are more harsh and risky than usual, forcing Foreman and Cameron to fear he may not be thinking clearly enough to save the patient's life..

Good, but does the formula EVER change?Good characters, well written, whitty, pithy dialog. Cases are even pretty interesting. My problem is that the show is incredibly formulaic. Every episode in Season 1 seems to follow this format: 1) Patient arrives with an unexplicable problem that they should not have. 2) MDs brainstorm the problem and find a possible solution 3) MDs start a treatment 4) Patient has the dramatic spas-out moment and writhes around on the bed and almost dies 5) MDs conclude that their initial diagnosis is wrong, re brainstorm the problem, and find another possible solution 6) MDs start another treatment (points 4 and 5 often repeat) 7) MDs brainstorm the problem again, and snarky House eventually finds the real solution 8) Treatment works, all's well that ends well. About four or five episodes in the formula was becomming blatantly repetitive. DOES THIS EVER CHANGE? I mean in subsequent seasons? Because if it doesn't, one season is enough for me..Score: 3/5

Better than expected, and HD!I got into House in season 5, so I wanted to start from the beginning. I was expecting less-interesting writing and acting from the first season, but coulda fooled me. It's as top notch as the rest of the seasons. And as far as I know, iTunes is the only place you can get it in HD. Bought this season on sale for $24.99. Now they're all back at $59.99... which is ludicrous. Put them on sale again and I'll buy the rest..Score: 5/5

Show is greatI love the television series house but why would I pay 42 pounds for season one if I can get series 1,2 and 3 for 40 pounds at amazon.co.uk you need to by them season by season otherwise it is 45 pounds so why pay more for one season come on apple these prices for older seasons must go down.Score: 5/5
ExcellentFor some reason this show has passed me by on regular tv. But because of all the rave reviews I thought i'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. Hugh is fantastic, as are the other cast members, and the program has the right mix of humour and seriousness. Its like a cross between ER and a detective/mystery show. But it has only the good bits from both. Thanks Apple for the HD version. Some may feel its expensive but considering i now don't have to buy a blu-ray player, its a steal..Score: 5/5

Great Show...Its a fantastic show. My way of explaining it has been that it is "ER, but good." Which is kind of unfair. Its very different to ER, and a great series to watch anytime. (Price is outrageous, but that has nothing to do with the actual show, so it doesn't affect my rating.).Score: 4/5
