Tedious story with good actorsThis story lacks any balance with the aliens and their all powerful technology and amazing insight constantly making fools of the human population. The use of a mother's love for her child as a main story line is also getting very old and irritating. This particular theme is used as an excuse for many weak plot lines and excuses for frustrating twists and irrelevant turns in the story. The final episode makes a feeble attempt to redress the balance but, of course, we will never get to see what would transpire as a result of the revelations in the last episode. This series had great potential but has been ruined by poor character development, a slow and frustrating story line and a precipitous termination just as it was beginning to get interesting again. In its support the characters of Anna and Erica are well played..Score: 3/5
They chopped their own foot off, and scratched season 3?Wow. No season 3. Seriously?! It's worth repeating a few times just to let it sink in. It like hearing that your parent, friend, brother/sister is gay and they they say could you hold that thought I've got call... just be a min. GREAT show, GREAT actors, Supurb direction, excellent effects. It was THE show to watch in it's time slot. My mind was dancing with plot possibilities and interesting twists. Great series, to bad ABC had it..Eh name me one series abc ever followed threw with beyond day time soap opras, those guys/gals at abc wouldn't know a good show if it bit them in the butt. Oh, ok one show, but it's not to expensive to throw people on an island and pay the same crew over and over , the minor overhead was the only reason that series survived. Great TV show !I didn't watched the season 1 when it aired on TV last year, but the "episode" 5 of season 1 which is a recap of episode 1-4 was free last week on itunes so I watched it and loved it. I bought the season 1 and it was even better then I was expecting so I bought the season pass for the season 2 and I can't wait for the episodes to air, I really love V. ExcellentThe first few episodes of season 1 were awkward and clearly showed the signs of a show trying to find its legs. However, it really started getting into its stride in the latter half of the season (quite possibly because of the addition of Hobbes who seemed to add the much needed violent-reality of being a terrorist cell) Season two is proving to be EXCELLENT. Episode 3, 'Laid Bare' has one of the most uncomfortable torture scenes I've ever seen on tv. I am so excited to watch the rest of the season and I hope hope hope hope that ABC renews this show for a 3rd season. Also, Morena Baccarin is a brilliant actor. The subtlety in which she plays Anna, infusing every motion - whether its a speech or the blinking of her eyes - with such depth and precision, making the character of Anna seem both terrifying and complex. If nothing else, watch for her..Score: 5/5

Oh dear.Oh dear. After a fantastic first season, V returns with a catastrophic follow up that was destined to do one thing: secure its demise and sudden cancellation. In just a mere ten episodes, this series is rushed and bamboozling with incredulous plot turns that will leave you scratching you head in disappointment. The special effects remain dodgy as heck and most of the time left me wondering why they bothered with obviously fake backgrounds (Vatican) and not just film inside to make it look more realistic. Morena Baccarin remains every bit as captivating and terrifying with her fantastic performance as Anna while Tyler remains infuriatingly annoying and two dimensional; the blue-eyed, floppy haired teenage angst gets very old very quickly and you just end up longing for him to die; thankfully, all is not lost. If you loved the first season, get this to see where it ends up but please donât wait with the same hope and enthusiasm that we did or you will be sorely disappointed..Score: 3/5

Best TV Series on the SyFy ChannelHow V has low ratings in the USA beats me - can you believe they were even thinking of axing it recently?! This is the best series on the SYFY Channel - period. A big fan of the original series in the 80's, I am finding V with the new cast equally as enjoyable, my favourite character being Joshua. Plus there is a surprise for those of us who remember the original series - Diana is back! Shame Robert Englund as Willie hasn't made an appearance yet. From what I remember he was killed in the original, but that's not to say they shouldn't bring his character back for this new tv series. Maybe in a future series...? If you are a newcomer to V, I recommend you start with Season One (which was on last year on the SyFy Channel on Sky). Honestly you won't regret it. One of the best Science Fiction TV Series I've ever seen..Score: 5/5

T 'V' at its bestDarker and with an apparently bigger effects budget season 2 of V is BRILLIANT. Jane Badler returning from the 80's series is a real highlight and complements the two fantastic lead female actresses. The finale is the best episode of the lot and sets up season 3 in an unexpected flourish of death, destruction and drama. ABC have cancelled the show (madness!!) however there is a campaign to get season 3 on facebook, projectalicev so anyone who loves this show is highly recommended to join the fight!
