GreatI have been reading comments that say this show is unrealistic because of the fact that they have guns, cleanleness, and nice hair. Guns would still work because they don't require power. Cleanleness would still be possible because of the fact that you can heat water with a fire. Nice hair is possible because you could cut your hair without power. I get my hair cut with scissors, not clippers. This show is truely amazing and I hope NBC keeps it around for more than two seasons..Score: 5/5

Not very good, but not terribleJudging this series by the low standards of tv sci-fi, it's certainly not good, but it's not the worst. Yes, it's lousy with laughably bad science and terrible inconsistencies, but those are pretty much SOP for tv and movie sci-fi. Yes, the pilot is better than the actual series, but that happens all the time too. And yes, the two leads are a David Chase wannabe and Uma--The Next Generation, but there are some real actors in supporting roles. If you can get over all the weaknesses -- and again, if you've watched much tv sic-fi you've gotten over mountains of weaknesses -- at least the episodes move along at a good clip, and the larger story arc twists and turns rather nicely, at least up through episode 10, when this first season peaks. The whole second half has less momentum and feels like a very long postscript. Maybe the producers thought they were only going to get half a season before, um, the lights went out..Score: 3/5
Watch something elseI suffered through 4 episodes of this trying to like it. I really tried, but this show is horrible. I'm kinda over the whole "teen chick angsty with a bow" thing. The main female character is unbelievably moral and the story is shot full of holes. There is no real side story arc to play on. Great start - but took a disastrous turnBriefly - The first season was excellent The second season was a total disappointment The first season had me fascinated. We've seen the zombie apocalyse, the alien apocalypse, and now its the industial apocalypse. Of course if all the electricity in the world stopped flowing, every human and animal would die because the brain is electro-chemical. But most sci-fi situations are impossible if you think about it. It's make believe. It's a story, not a reality. This story is grand epic. We see that we are so dependent on our technology, that without it, our society would fall apart. The show's story drew me in. The quest to recover the world that has been lost is an epic on the scale of the greatest myths. Human beings become savage when the societal structures collapse. A return to medieval-style is inevitable. It feels like a sword and sorcery epic. it's the second season that goes wrong. the first season had characters roaming all over the country on their quest. The second mostly takes place in one little town. Just like the show Lost, the creators seemed to have no idea where it was all heading. I wish they had planned it better. It's sad to see a great series destroy itself..Score: 3/5

It's good so far...An imaginative series with great potential. You can tell this was created by J.J. Abrams because it has a lot of the long arcing mystery elements that he does so well (giving the series a bit of a LOST feel). I don't know if Tracy Spiridakos was the best casting choice for Charlie; I sometimes feel that her acting is very awkward/non-realistic, however she has been getting better and the rest of the cast has been stellar. Looking forward to the rest of the season!.Score: 4/5
