Hard to think CM isn't winding downCriminal Minds is stuck in a rut. What I loved about the Patinkin years is that at least initially the show really was about the intellectual side of criminology. Smart people doing their jobs. More or a thinking person's CSI (not that I ever watched CSI). I didn't notice the show getting more and more brutal at the time. Seeing where it has gone, looking back, it is obvious now. And I can see why Mandy wanted the hell out. Still, it remained a great show. I was hooked on the characters more than anything. And that is really where my problem with the show comes from presently. Been a few seasons now where we haven't really gotten to know Reid any better. He's my favorite. The guy suffered a drug addiction and the show hinted at a great story line only to have let it go to waste. I'm glad there was nothing like Reid compromising cases or anything tedious like that. Still. The show has lost much of its concern with the characters. Its humanity. And when it does indulge in personal scenes, it's always ALWAYS with the most annoying person on network TV. The computer girl and the weird, phony relationship with Morgan. OK, baby-momma (whatever the F that means), I was sick of that four years ago. Forget Reid. What about Hotch? Just as he's about to start a relationship, the show decides that would be a god time to start ignoring him, haha. I get it if the show is saying, look, he's OK now. Just a bit over simplified. And then again, where's Reid? Very little Reid for the last several years. I can't even remember the last time I felt like he was really even part of the show other than to stand in front of the local police finishing the hand off style presentation of serial killer profiles (which again doesn't ring true...that style of presentation). Something is broken here, guys..Score: 2/5
Season 8Season 8 is off to good start. It was a little weird not seeing Emily Prentiss, but the new female agent Alex is not bad. Her role has been minimal which is good because it keeps us engaged in the other characters until we start warming up to her character. The storyline of the team being watched is in my opinion very interesting, and is enough to keep the audience watching. I find that some episodes have a weak climax and some have a hard time fitting everything in the 45 min. time frame, but nonetheless the season is still worth watching. Overall it's been a great show..Score: 4/5

Criminal Minds!!!!I can honestly say that I have completely fallen in love with these profilers! The series is so thrilling and full of drama, action, mystery, and a little romance. Each episode creates more and more suspense as you wait to see what will happen next to these FBI Agents; the leader Hotch, the tech-queen Garcia, the wise Rossi, the new girl Blake, the genius Reid, the tough guy Morgan, and the down-to-earth JJ.
