Go Korra!Book 2: Spirits is amazing, almost as amazing as Avatar: The Last Airbender! The creators really outdid themselves this time! I am so looking forward to book three! The plot line and the comedic relief have really developed nicely..Score: 5/5
Season 2Season 2 starts off week and doesn't have the instant thrill season 1 had. But it ends with a bigger bang than season 1 did, and I think the writers are not running low on ideas just yet. Can't wait for book 3!.Score: 5/5

Great Animated SeriesI think that the Legend of Korra is one of the best American animated series of all time, and I really hope that both the creators and the network will continue exploring this rich universe. I love this showThis season started off slow but ended with a boom. I see people criticizing how the story is going, but I'm not going to criticize the writers. It has to be new and I think they are doing their best to include the presence of the original show. I mean they created the first one right? Also, the creators are probably working with old and new people to create each season. So let's give it some time..Score: 5/5
SatisfyingIf you're a child or a tween this is terrific for you. I liked the story and art but there were some moments that I felt was little off or just humor for younger kids. I kinda felt that the romance felt forced and Brolin was a little annoying. But this is great for anyone considering the story..Score: 4/5
Best show! The Legend of Korra is the best! I had really high expectations since Avatar: The Last Airbender, but wow... it's all amazing!.Score: 5/5
By Season's EndThough I've my many qualms with the writing of this season, and Korra overall as it tends to pale in comparison to Avatar: The Last Airbender (this is likely since they've limited their pool of writers and eclecticism really did A:TLA wonders, but whatever), Book Two: Spirits is a vast improvement upon Book One. Where many of the characters fell flat or down archetypal pitfalls, where resolution clicked into place by seeming chance, where teenage love drama frustrated viewers accustomed to more mature themes with, paradoxically, younger characters, Book One has been LEFT BEHIND in all its unsatisfactory inchoateness. Book Two is much more mature. It casts careful balance between hijinks and realistic relationship troubles on one side and weighty consequential conflicts climaxing in world threatening doom on the other. Characters set in both or either of the two situations make well-deserved and resounding developments. I'll take issue with a LOT OF THE DIALOGUE, but otherwise, with regards to the writing, Book Two plotlines moves much more fluidly and interestingly than Book One. There's a serious issue with the sudden introduction of endgame conflict, thrust upon viewers mid-season and widely regarded by characters thereafter without much explanation as to how everyone suddenly knows about Harmonic Convergence simply because viewers do...but the cataclysmic scale of conflict begs viewers to recall Avatar, and the writers fare much better overall with the stakes raised so high. It's the norm for Avatar; I delight in its return for Korra. After all, Book One left viewers wanting in its anticlimax. Yet, along these lines, the writers stack up conflicts; the main problems of the season sort of swallow each other like increasingly angry Russian dolls. Grand scheme political conflict for the Water Tribes swallowed by impending Spiritual doom built into the ontological grounds of the Avatarverse, absorbed by chaotically evil plans for world domination from a formerly more lawfully evil character. (This season colors from gray to starkly black and white very quickly. Sure it's believable, yet it makes for less mysterious and exciting writing in my opinion.) Escalation here would present much better with SOME EXPLANATION! There's space for it, but it eludes writers and viewers alike. Moments such as Korra's season-closing speech lack finesse in composition to resonate with closure and satisfaction. Hmmmm...any other issues? Studio Pierot animates about half the season with far less executed prestidigitation than Studio Mir. Mir's return for the special origin story episodes, Beginnings (GEMS OF THE SEASON, THIS TALE, ABSOLUTE GEMS! Devoid of imperfections except for seriously grating lines of dialogue), couldn't be more satisfying. Art's always been this franchise's greatest asset. Book Two: Spirits is a whirlwind of colors and spectacles, lore and world-expansion, death and rebirth. Five stars? Yes of course. Problems? Oh plenty. Watch it, for the love of all animators. Korra's hitting her stride and you don't want to miss it..Score: 5/5
