Goes Downhill FastThis show starts out well enough, but the action and storyline quickly digresses into an intricate soap opera centered about a brothel and interpersonal feelings. When that tack finally runs its course, season 2 digresses even further to endless flashbacks, wherein it finally jumps the shark and we learn that Flint is gay. Brutal ,back stabbing piratesThe constant power struggle among them and ruthless nature of it holds true for pirates of that era.i can vouch for the authenticity for the wood work tools of that time,i was blown away by the scene of the men logging on the island,they had a sawing platform with one man above guiding the saw and one below for power,yep thats how they had to cut large stock or logs before the steam powered rip saw,some one did some research.hope for a season 2.Score: 5/5

Madman40's Take thingsI wasnt sure if i would even like it cause i am a fussy watcher of movies and serries but5 this caught me me off guard with how DAM good it is!... it has beautifull scenery the sets are near perfect for the era and the and the fight scenes are great too cause in a real fight no one walks away with out a scratch O_O... love this show.Score: 5/5
This show is so goodGreat production quality, well-acted and well written. The characters are great and always scheming with or against each other, with keeps things interesting. Also very violent and a lot of nudity and sex. This show is like a pirate version of Rome and Deadwood. Vikings is a piece of crap in comparison to Black Sails..Score: 5/5
Bad@$$I am hooked! This is an awesome show, I've never been moved to review a show, but this...this is really good. The sets are so well done, the characters are so well done, and the banter/dialogue is perfectly gripping. Captivating Show!I love Charles Vain! You can tell right away from the first episode that Black Sails is going to be epic. This season lays the groundwork for the overall arc of the plot but after watching beyond to Season 2 and 3, you'll want to go back and watch it again. Be prepared for violence in the first couple of episodes but its less frequent as the show progresses. So unique - highly recommend!.Score: 5/5
