It's just another night at the morgue for a father (Brian Cox) and son (Emile Hirsch) team of coroners, until an unidentified, highly unusual corpse comes in. Discovered buried in the basement of the home of a brutally murdered family, the young Jane Doe—eerily well preserved and with no visible signs of trauma—is shrouded in mystery. As they work into the night to piece together the cause of her death, the two men begin to uncover the disturbing secrets of her life. Soon, a series of terrifying events make it clear: this Jane Doe may not be dead. The latest from Trollhunter director Andre Ovredal is a scarily unpredictable, supernatural shocker that never lets up.

Father and son coroners receive a mysterious unidentified corpse with no apparent cause of death. As they attempt to examine the "Jane Doe," they discover increasingly bizarre clues that hold the key to her terrifying secrets.

Pretty goodThis wasn’t too bad. I wasn’t sure what to expect. It had some scary parts but not that bad. It didn’t scare me cause it takes a lot to scare me. Not much of storyline like most movies have. A little different which is fine. It isn’t a long movie but it does keep your interest. The acting was good. It was a good movie. Trippy • Not for the weak of stomachThis is one of those movies that starts to get under your skin; but it gets too crazy at the end and you realize that it is just a movie. Well done!Finally, a horror/thriller film that kept my interest during the whole thing. It has great writing and acting. The plot was unique and the build up was suspenseful. I thought the film had some good creepy moments. I didn't deduct a star, but I was hoping for a more better ending.... maybe if you watch it you'll understand what I mean. It’s good.I enjoyed this. A palpable feeling of dread and foreboding emanates from the mysterious autopsy, especially when the lens hovering close over Olwen Kelly’s beautiful lifeless face feels like it’s too close to something dangerous and the movie watcher feels something fearful afoot, head to toe. The story and dialogue can feel a bit stilted or contrived later in the movie when the obviously supernatural proceedings are somehow not fully apparent or self-evident to the coroners, and the movie takes on some traditional zombie tropes. But overall a pleasing horror watch. Brian Cox, of course, is great, and Emile Hirsch works fine, too. I should add, too, that at one point during the autopsy, when Brian Cox is noisily cracking ribs, my next-door neighbor dropped something loudly to the floor, and I wasn’t just startled by a noise, I was a little scared, and creeped out at the coincidence!.D'chillScore: 4/5

Scary but pointlessThis is one of the scariest movies ever but it is unsatisfying. While there are all sorts of signposts along the way, this film does not end up taking you to any particular destination. I can think of several ways this film could have ended that could have turned it into a true masterpiece but in the end, there is no resolution whatsoever. Why the filmmaker did not devise a better ending appears to be due to some sort of millennial bloody-mindedness..Furutan1Score: 3/5

You'll want to know and really explore two things: 1. who is this girl, and 2. what happened to her; unfortunately, once your interest in these things climaxes (fairly early in the movie), the story turns into a lame sequence of horror-movie tropes.
