Deceiving TrailerIf you expect an intelligent thriller revolving around investigative journalism, keep your hands off. Now rewatching the trailer, after watching the movie, one could have forseen this I guess. I should have also looked closer at the unbelievable 79% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes - with only 14 reviews that actually means nothing. The pace of the movie is more like a TV drama with quite some lenghths and the actually fair acting makes a big turn towards the loughable during the end, with its excaggerated dialogue and next to unbearable sappiness. As this last comment is purely targeted towards the production and script of the movie, I want to be clear that I don't intent to disrespect anyones faith. However, I would have appreciated a disclaimer that this movie is a propaganda piece for christian believe disguised as a journalistic thriller (as much as 'Battlefield Earth' is a Scientology propaganda film disguised as a science fiction movie) in which case I would have stayed away. For everyone who liked this movie, I would recommend the Documentary 'Religulous' as a digestive. If you are a Christian and offended by the review or the recommendation, again, it is not my intention to do so and ... - please forgive me..Score: 1/5
Awesome experience!I'm lucky enough to have Lee Strobel as a guest pastor for the last few years. Got to hear his story before the movie was made, love it! The book & audible version are much more detailed of course, but they did a great job on the film!.Score: 5/5

Intense and inspirational filmI LOVE this movie! I was on my toes the whole time about whether or not the main character would ever have a change of heart. This movie is about someone's life-changing experience and how a ruthless atheist seeks all answers to prove the case for Christianity to be worthless. A good family movie. Suspenseful. Sobering. No spoiler alerts from me if you haven't already watched it. But I'm pretty sure you're really gonna like it..Score: 5/5
Powerful. I can relate. One of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. Really well done and much deeper than what comes out of Hollywood these days. I enjoyed seeing Chicago too (my old hometown) and a very contemporary message of racial hope and redemption that I pray will take over in that stricken city's south and west sides. On a personal level, this really hits home. As an academic, a college professor, someone awarded high scholastic honors (for what that is worth), and living in the scientific and medical world, I have the same doubts and arguments. In the last 15 years, I have witnessed many brilliant medical minds living and loving patients in the model and inspiration of Jesus Christ. Many Christian and others not. The model of selfless love is there. More than ever, in this hurting and deeply confused world we need simple, unselfish love and understanding. Anyway, well done. Some close friends are atheists and while I am not trying to change their minds, it will provide some good discussion..Score: 5/5
