Come On, Just Come OnI’m not a big Madea fan, I didn’t enjoy the first boo film, but I wanted to give this movie a chance. It met my expectations, next to Geostorm this movie is headed straight to the 5 dollar bin at Walmart. It’s just not funny except for one or two moments where I did smile. But the rest of the film is just awkward and annoying. I know Tyler Perry can make good movies. Even though Alex Cross wasn’t great, he was very good in it. He was a scene stealer in Gone Girl, and fairly entertaining in the TMNT movie. Hopefully Perry’s next movie is better, I think he can be amazing when he finds the right story. This movie just wasn’t one of them..Score: 1/5

This looks like deleted scenesI am a huge Madea fan, and have always appreciated the work that Tyler Perry has done. Sequels are always tough, so I already had lowered my expectations. What I saw wasn’t a movie- it looked more like deleted scenes stitched together to create some boring alternate universe version of the first one. I was watching with a friend and we kept saying “let’s give it time- I’m sure it will get better”. But It didn’t. After 45 minutes I started feeling bad for people who paid to see it in theaters. Yes there were a few funny moments, but those were the exception and not the rule. From poor quality green screen scenes in Madea’s Cadillac to over-acting by Horse’s obsessed girlfriend, this was incoherent at best, and insulting at worst to those who wanted to see the brilliantly funny 1st Boo movie come back for an encore. I will never give up on Tyler Perry. Madea is always my hero. But this movie- I’m choosing to pretend it never happened and watching the first (and only!) one instead..Score: 1/5
