The Proposition Film Synopsis
In 1880s Australia, a lawman offers renegade Charlie Burns a difficult choice. In order to save his younger brother from the gallows, Charlie must hunt down and kill his older brother, who is wanted for rape and murder. Venturing into one of the Outback's most inhospitable regions, Charlie faces a terrible moral dilemma that can end only in violence.

Český Film se odehrává v drsném a neúprosném prostředí australského vnitrozemí na konci 19. století. Proposition je ohromujícím příběhem oddanosti, odplaty a hledání spravedlnosti v zemi bez pravidel. Charlie Burns je odpadlík, žijící se svými dvěma bratry mimo hranice zákona. Artur a Mikey jsou hledaní pro znásilnění a vraždu. Když se kapitánu Stanleymu podaří zatknout Charlieho a Mikeyho, udělá Charliemu složitý návrh – skoncovat s brutalitou, jež je obklopuje. Aby Charlie zachránil svého bratra před oprátkou, musí najít a zabít Arthura, svého psychopatického staršího bratra, o němž si Stanley myslí, že je hlavním viníkem násilí. Oba muži čelí nemožnému morálnímu dilematu, které vede k vražednému vyvrcholení.
