Upon learning that their newly deceased dad (Harvey Keitel) had them enrolled in drug testing when they were young giving them only a few days left to live, three brothers (Scott Caan, Paulo Costanzo, Jason Jones), embark on a journey of self-discovery in an attempt to reverse a lifetime of mistakes and set the record straight once and for all.

The film centers on three brothers who, upon learning they only have a few days left to live, set off to reverse a lifetime of mistakes. Hopper and Simmons are playing the brothers' father and uncle, respectively, while Caan is one of the brothers. Helfer is Caan's girlfriend, a woman with a dangerous past.

Deutsch Duke war nicht gerade das, was man gemeinhin als treusorgenden und liebevollen Vater bezeichnet. Als er eines Tages Selbstmord begeht, hinterlässt er seinen Söhnen daher auch kein besonders erfreuliches Testament. Durch einen heimlichen Medikamententest, sind drei seiner fünf Kinder schon bald dem Tode geweiht. Das damals erhaltene Schmerzensgeld hat Duke vorsorglich schon einmal auf den Kopf gehauen. Die drei betroffenen Söhne Jacob, Cal und Nuts versuchen fortan noch das Beste aus ihrem bisher verkorksten Leben rauszuholen und sich möglichst viele ihrer bis dahin noch übrig gebliebenen Träume zu erfüllen. Auch wenn das bedeutet, sich in einer Tonne die Niagarafälle hinabzustürzen.
