Derivative Yorgos Lanthimos flicNot sure if the filmmakers will read these reviews but I was annoyed by the flatline emotionless performances typical of a Yorgos film that didn’t work here. The movie could have been a compelling dark comedy with its own voice and style but instead emotionally flatlined the performances which made every character unlikable. Great concept, but film should have explored deeper questions of self and identity, even comically, rather than confine itself within a derivative, robotic ‘Lanthimos’ paradigm.
