Absolute garbage...I gave this movie about 25 minutes and quit. This is NOT a film about Elvis. It's a disgrace to his name and his legacy. I turned it off once I heard that garbage rap music being played. Why oh why did the director think modern day garbage rap music would be good in a movie about Elvis and good ol Rock n Roll is beyond me. But one glance at the director and that spoke for itself. Baz Luhrman. Horrible director and horrible movie. I will be sure to stay FAR away from all of her movies. This woman cannot direct and she ruined a great singers legacy. Shame on the Presley family for signing off on this. I guess their inheritance ran out..Score: 1/5

Spectacular and affectingThe Elvis movie is amazing. I don’t like a lot of newer movies I watch these days. It’s a big deal if I love a new movie. The kid playing Elvis is INCREDIBLE. Ironically as the character ages the guy actually looks and emulates Elvis even more. But it’s also just a spectacular bunch of filmmaking. The editing and cinematography is something akin to the kinetic artistry of JFK as a fairytale with varying styles and tempos and vibrancies. It could have been pure fiction instead of based on fact and it would have been just as heartbreaking and hypnotic and exhilarating visually and musically. It plays with fantasy and facts but there’s a real emotional truth on display and it’s the essence of who both Elvis and his manipulative manager Tom Parker were. You really understand Elvis’s inspirations and his origins. No one is going put in a performance like Butler did as Elvis this year. It’s not a caricature or an impersonation. He completely inhabits the role. The final moments are truly heartbreaking but bittersweet as we watch as Elvis’s music and influence live on. You don’t have to be an Elvis fan to appreciate the spectacle onscreen married to triumph and heartbreak, but any Elvis fans who love the essence of what he did, who he was and how much of his heart and soul he put into his craft should be moved if not mesmerized..Score: 5/5

Horrible - Just HorribleWhat a waste. Tom Hanks should just say “No” sometimes. Tom Hanks was Polar express channeling hard. Mess of a movie - guy did not look anything like Elvis. Kurt Russel and Kevin Costner did better Elvis impersonations in 3000 miles to Graceland. For those looking for a another Bohemian Rapsody just pass. Maybe watch for free on HBO max to mark it off the list, but waste of money if you pay for this. When you pay for it just remember, I told you so. ElvisAbsolutely awful! It is just garbage. The only good thing about it was Butler’s performance. In my early teens I was a huge Elvis fan and this story was not even close to an accurate description of his life other than the fact he did have a weird attachment to his mother, Gladys. Cannot believe I paid Apple 24.99 to watch this thing and I didn’t even watch the last hour I was so fed up by that time. Tom Hanks as Colonel Parker was ridiculous..Score: 1/5

Could’ve been much better.Even though I know this film isn’t historically accurate, I was enjoying it until the lame auto tuned programmed music started to play that was unfortunately slipped in through out the film and during the end credits. Holly Wood should’ve stayed true to a sound track of music that was relevant for the time period for an Elvis Presley biopic. I probably would’ve purchased this film had they not done this, thankfully I got my money back for renting it..Score: 1/5
In love!!!I knew nothing about Elvis Presley until I watch this movie and then did some research.. this movie is absolutely amazing in my opinion I am immediately buying this as soon as it’s available.
