Two female students, Marie and Alex, set off to Alex's parent's secluded homestead in the country to relax and study. Come nightfall, Hell pulls up at the front door. Alex, bound and gagged, is taken away, with Marie left alluding the intruder. Can she save her friend's life in time? Or is everything all that it seems.
Best friends Marie and Alexia decide to spend a quiet weekend at Alexia's parents' secluded farmhouse. But on the night of their arrival, the girls' idyllic getaway turns into an endless night of horror.

Will not disappoint horror fansScary movies? No problem, I can handle them, easy. High Tension was so much more than that. I watched it with a friend at a sleepover and I got maybe an hour of sleep. The whole time, I had the blanket wrapped around myself tighter than a straight-jacket and every nerve in my body was screaming at me to hide. Also - I now know to wipe the inside of the sink dry. If you haven't seen the movie you won't understand what that means. =].Score: 5/5
OriginalI saw the original french verison and from what I've read this one is a very bad edition of a great movie. Lots of gore, action, and suspense. See the unedited version if you can, if not I suppose this copy can do..Score: 5/5

Original Twist on The Slasher GenreThe film has the typical elements of a slasher film; serial killer stalks and torments two girls as they fight for life. But I think High Tension went to a whole other level. The performances were great and the film was riveting. It starts out slow but quickly picks up the pace especially towards the end. I think there should be more films like this because the horror genre is starting to die out..Score: 5/5
Before you buyI haven't even bought this movie yet. Was about to then saw that it was dub. I've seen the dub version and it's utter crap compared to the original version. Please Apple have the option to watch it in the original language with sub. That's the true way on watching foreign movie/tv shows anyways..Score: 1/5
The French can do horror?I notice European horror movies are getting better and better. This movie is a great slap in the face to traditional horror and well done. As far as slasher films go, this is about as good as you can get. I advise that you watch the long version. This dubbed and shortened version doesn't do the film justice..Score: 5/5
Totally unrealistic plot twist at the end.....This movie was actually going pretty strong for about 3/4 of the movie then a ridiculous, totally non-sensical plot twist ruined it at the 3/4 mark. What a total waste. This could have been a great movie but the last quarter left so many holes in the plot it looked like swiss cheese. A really lame, lame way for this movie to end..Score: 1/5
