Three-time Academy Award nominee Sigourney Weaver returns in "Alien 3" as Officer Ripley, the sole survivor of the spaceship Nostromo’s encounter with a deadly extraterrestrial in Alien, and subsequent victor over the Alien Queen after an epic battle in the cargo hold of the military transport ship Sulaco in Aliens. After escaping from the alien planet, the ship carrying Ripley crashes onto a remote and inhabited ore refinery. While living in the ore refinery until she is rescued by her employers, Ripley discovers the horrifying reason for her crash: an alien stowaway. As the alien matures and begins to kill off the inhabitants, Ripley discovers that her true enemy is more than just the killer alien.
Alien 3 Film Synopsis
After escaping with Newt and Hicks from the alien planet, Ripley crash lands on Fiorina 161, a prison planet and host to a correctional facility. Unfortunately, although Newt and Hicks do not survive the crash, a more unwelcome visitor does. The prison does not allow weapons of any kind, and with aid being a long time away, the prisoners must simply survive in any way they can.

The worst of the alien franchiseSo disappointing and the worst one I've seen If James Cameron directed it and with a better storyline it would have been great probably. And I couldn't believe that they killed off two important characters from the second movie it bothered me from when the movie started to when it finished and to make it worse the ending just a terrible ending. Not Fincher's bestSure it's a huge drop from the first two but yet, it's not that bad. It sure as hell isn't a good movie, but it's well directed and acted with meh writing. While the first two are great movies this one is just okay.

Underrated MasterpieceAlien 3 was a perfect ending to the Alien Trilogy, most of the reviews are dead wrong, or don't understand the movie at all. Yes, its dark, because it deals with the ultimate horror--death. Alien and Aliens were better action/sci-fi movies, Alien 3 has a deeper purpose, to close the book on our heroin and the alien trilogy, and it should have ended HERE. Alien Resurrection was a piece of crap, Alien 3 was a work of art. I thought Alien 3 was more poetic and meaningful than the others, so I like it better in many ways. Are there plot holes? What sci-fi movie doesn't have those? It is SCI-FI! Why did Ripley have to die? Because she wanted to stop the greedy company from using the Alien in her for their profit hungry military plans. Jeez. some people are too stupid to watch a movie this good. Go Watch Alien Resurrection if you want to see a piece of crap made ONLY to make money. Alien 3 was a near-masterpiece and as far as I am concerned, the LAST Alien movie. If you just want action, enjoy Aliens, but this is a different kind of sci-fi movie. One of the worst sequels I have ever seen.This is one of the worst sequels that I have ever seen. The thing that I don't get is that this movie is David Fincher's directorial debut. For those of you who don't know who David Fincher is, he is the director of films such as Fight Club, Se7en and The girl with the dragon tattoo (2012 remake). FascinatingThe film that ruined one of the best sci-fi series in movie history was by the same director of "Seven," "Zodiac'" "Panic Room" and other good-to-great films. This is a terrible movie.
