Twenty years ago, Alex Grant witnessed the brutal murder of her mother. Ever since, she has been haunted by hallucinations and nightmares of the horrible crime and the killer. Mary Henry ends up the sole survivor of a fatal car accident through mysterious circumstances. Trying to put the incident behind her, she moves to Utah and takes a job as a church organist. But her fresh start is interrupted by visions of a fiendish man. As the visions begin to occur more frequently, Mary finds herself drawn to the deserted carnival on the outskirts of town. The strangely alluring carnival may hold the secret to her tragic past.

Miller is shockingly effectiveLow key stand up comedian and comedic actor Larry Miller is cast against type here to truly effective results. The movie is a bit of a mess but gets points for trying something far more ambitious than a typical slasher flicks. Some other reviewers here took issue with the movie for not being like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and you should actually take that as a huge compliment because this movie did not follow the same cookie cutter assembly like so many Scream clones. It's disturbing and both pays homage to the original Carnival Of Souls and attempts it's own strange twists as well. It's worth a look for Miller's turn as carnival clown that is also a very sick and abusive man..Score: 3/5
