Based on the true story of a young Scottish lad, Peter Marshall, who dreams of only going to sea but finds out there is a different future for him when he receives a "calling" from God to be a minister. He leaves Scotland and goes to America where after a few small congregations he lands the position of pastor of the Church of the Presidents in Washington, D.C. and eventually he becomes Chaplain of the U.S. Senate.

I'm not religious at all, really!I'm not sure if it's the accent being Scottish of course or the overall corny story line but this film always brings a smile to my face and the fact that his love for his Mission is so strong. Just one of those feel good movies where I kinda expect Andy Rodney to pop up with Judy in toil. Just give it a try and it just might make you feel better about that thing called life and don't forget to smile..Score: 5/5
