Welcome back to Crystal Lake in this Extended Cut version of the chilling re-imagining of the classic horror film "Friday the 13th." Never-before-seen footage promises more thrills, horror and gore as Clay Miller (Jared Padalecki) heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, stumbling upon the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees. And that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has in the search for his missing sister, Whitney (Amanda Righetti), with the help of Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are all about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they've entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history--the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete... Jason Voorhees.

While a mirror of the original not as goodFrom scattered reviews I was expecting this to be a satisfying remake. Sadly however I found it lacking in every aspect from poor acting (not campy as I was expecting), and an unremarkable Jason to a script that was beyond laughable to downright awful. If not a fan of this movie, don't buy it. Rent it or wait for it to come out on cable..BbfolgartScore: 3/5

I LOVE Jason :DI never really like the very first one (I mean it was good don't get me wrong) but it's about Jason's mom, I like movies with Jason in it. So this movie was awsome :D.MetaLauraScore: 5/5

Feels like an R Rated Supernatural episodeDont get me wrong i love Supernatural but Jareds acting in this film felt like he was reprising his role as Sam Winchester, i love the franchise as a whole but this one is the WORST! Wow....This was NOT what i expected the movie to be.... I thought it sucked. I'm sorry but even whenever it got to a part where it was supposed to be scary, the killing sceans were all the same.... yeah, they always found a different murder weapon... but it was simply just scream, slice, blood/guts. i don't know... not what I wanted to see..Ifyousayso17Score: 2/5
