Based loosely on the true events that inspired both the original "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and the Oscar-Winning "The Silence of the Lambs," the new film centers around a group of college kids on their way back from Mexico heading to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert in Dallas. Along the way they come into contact with the serial killer Leatherface who proceeds to try and kill them with his chainsaw. Starring Jessica Biel ("The Illusionist," "I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry"), Jonathan Tucker ("The Ruins," "100 Girls"), Erica Leerhsen ("Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2," "Wrong Turn 2: Dead End"), and Mike Vogel ("Cloverfield," "Poseidon").

A.) you don't know what you're talking about.
B.) Leatherface is a completely fictional character. He is based off of Ed Gein, a killer who lived in Wisconsin around the 50's. His murders inspired this movie, the original Psycho, as well as Silence of the Lambs (Hence the "Inspired by True Events" and not "Based on a True Story").
C.) This is a great movie for a remake, but THIS IS NOT A TRUE STORY. If you look at the poster it says "inspired by true events".
D.) "Inpsired by True Events" and "Based on a True Stroy" are two very different things. Sorry to disappoint you, but if this really were a true story don't you think there would be at least something about it on the internet? Because, uh, there isn't. At least not anything about it being an actual incident in the "anals of American History." FICTION people; Fiction. And ROFLMAO about Leatherface being kept near you in some asylum. Widerwillig lässt sie sich von der Gruppe mitnehmen, doch als die Fahrt sie scheinbar an den Ort des Horrors zurückbringt, dreht sie völlig durch. Auf der Suche nach Hilfe stößt die Clique in einer kleinen, abgelegenen Stadt auf deren bizarre Einwohner. Die Tankstellenwirtin, der Polizist und der alte Mann im Rollstuhl scheinen etwas Schreckliches zu verbergen. Unter mysteriösen Umständen verschwinden nach und nach die ersten Freunde, die Gruppe wird auseinandergerissen. Dann hören die Übriggebliebenen zum ersten Mal das Geräusch einer Motorsäge!
