The Truth About Charlie Film Synopsis
Regina meets charming Joshua while vacationing in Martinique, as she contemplates ending her whirlwind marriage to enigmatic Charlie. Upon her return to Paris, she finds that both her apartment and her bank account have been emptied, and her husband has been murdered. The more Reggie learns, the more she realizes the scope of the puzzle which she must solve to protect herself from ever-increasing danger.

Great film... IT IS NOT A THRILLER.This is a great movie if you do not expect the original AND do not read into Apple's/Universal's incorrect "thriller" genre specification. THIS FILM BELONGS IN A MYSTERY GENRE. The film does have some comedic, dramatic, and thrilling elements added in, but feels a lot like the old board game, Clue - at least to me. Go into the movie open-mined about how this cast cares to tell the story. If you do this, the movie will be fun. If you continuously try to compare the film to Charade (like the critics), you will probably also want to rate it at 30+ percent..NicolaususryScore: 5/5
One of the worst remakes ever madeMarky Mark in place of Cary Grant. That should be enough of a warning sign. But the film is strangely experimental in some areas, it has no true sense of urgency or suspense, the humor is weak and unintentional and the rest is just a mess. Only Newton acquits herself nicely in the lead. So a star for her. One star for having the guts to even try to make this thing, or should we say hubris. It bombed for a very good reason.
