"Sucker Punch" is an epic action fantasy that takes us into the vivid imagination of a young girl whose dream world provides the ultimate escape from her darker reality. She has been locked away against her will, but Babydoll (Emily Browning) has not lost her will to survive. Determined to fight for her freedom, she urges four other young girls to band together and try to escape their terrible fate at the hands of their captors. Led by Babydoll, the girls engage in fantastical warfare against everything from samurais to serpents, with a virtual arsenal at their disposal. Together, they must decide what they are willing to sacrifice in order to stay alive. But with the help of a Wise Man (Scott Glenn), their unbelievable journey-if they succeed-will set them free.

Laughable!!!First off, yeah the visuals are pretty cool, but... see the preview & you'll get enough. Has to be the worst movie of the year. Good movie!The story is fun to how the heroine and her helpers use their imagination to help them over come the hardship of battling the bad guy. This story also shows the evils of Psychiatry and how evil the people are who push and use it. (To further get what I mean, check out CCHR - Citizens Commission for Human Rights. Amazing movie, the professional critics are idiotsThis was an incredible multi-layered story about rape culture. Each descent into a different layer of realtiy happens as an escape from the present reality. The lobotomies represent rape and are done twice, to Sweatpea and Babydoll. Both times the victims retreat into a fantasy world in their minds as a coping mechanism, similar to how victims of real rape do, where they re-empower themselves in a male fantasy world. The lowest layer of reality, the girls' "missions", are told in a typically young male fantasy/video game setting that is relatable even to young men. This leads to a number of other compelling plot devices both subtle and obvious. Too many cover here, but watch the movie, it's worth it. The only excuse I can think of for all the critics who failed to understand this movie, is that the shortened theatrical version cut out too many scenes critical to understanding the director's vision, including the final "High Roller" scene the entire movie had been building up to. This Extended Edition adds them all back in and should be considered the definitive, nee only, edition worth watching..Score: 5/5

AmazingI can understand why the critics didn’t like the original cut of the film, but this extended cut changes everything. All the extra scenes, plus the alternate ending, gave an entirely new meaning to this movie. It gave this film a far darker tone than the original, the ending was extremely emotional, and we learn a lot of new things, such as who the real main character is. All-in-all, this may well be one of my new favourite Zack Snyder films of all time. 5/5, 10/10, 100/100, 100%, two thumbs up, whatever you want..Score: 5/5

Great show crappy criticsThis was a breath of fresh air from all the generic Hollywood sameness-or-whatever that they've been making a lot of lately. It seems even the critics don't like something unless its been done at least a hundred times before. And what's with the sexism complaints? So the main characters end up in epic battles whenever Baby Doll starts dancing. I thought that was a lot less sexualizing then watching her dance erotically for ten minutes. I thought the whole thing was rather cleverly done, dealing with a serious and probably awkward issue without ever depicting it physically, still leaving a sense of dread without bringing any awkwardness into the show. And if you think scantily clad women are unfeminist, then you'd better get all the women at your local swiming pool to "properly" clothe themselves before you tackle this show. You'll be suprised how fast telling women to "put some clothes on" can be interpreted as a sexist suggestion--assuming it was a suggestion and not a command. (I don't hear any complaints about wonder woman.) Besides, why do people always insist women be so clothed while everyone seems to enjoy depictions of the "real man" half naked and bulging with muscles? Why don't I ever hear complaints about that being sexist? But if, like the critics, you won't be able to get your mind past a little skin, you'll miss the whole point of the show, and you might as well just move on to something more predictable, where women are even less clothed but for less important reasons--Orange is the New Black, Game of Thrones, and almost any TV show out there these days, where sex seems to be the main atraction. This show at least, I thought, made a bold statement against something that is plain wrong on every level. Now, if that bothers you, then I suppose I can see why you would have problems with it. (I hope I'm mostly talking to the critics at this point.).Score: 5/5
Don't listen to the critics!I have to be honest, critics have become more and more shameless! Storyline: lacking. Jaw-dropping, high-tech cinematic action scenes: absolutely incredible. This movie takes pride in being whatever it wants and not restricting itself with an absolutely elegant story. It celebrates action just for the sake of action with a creative cover; the "main storyline" is merely a front for this action-adventure extravaganza!.Score: 5/5
