Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei prove that laughter is relative in this hilarious comedy that’s fun for the whole family! Old-school grandparents Artie (Crystal) and Diane (Midler) get more than they bargained for when they get stuck babysitting their type-A daughter’s (Tomei) over-protected kids. But things go from hectic to hysterical when Artie realizes the kids are running the house with their newfangled technology. By playing by his own rules, which include sugary snacks, old fashioned games and tough love, Artie manages to outsmart the kids and achieve the impossible-bring the family closer together!
Artie and Diane agree to look after their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents need to leave town for work. Problems arise when the kids' 21st-century behavior collides with Artie and Diane's old-school methods.

Watch itI don't write reviews... But, the negative ones almost made me not rent this movie. It turns out, this is one of the best movies i've seen all year. I consider myself a very avid movie watcher, and I find very little movies that capture my attention the whole way through. The most amazing movie that has ever been madeI first started watching this movie when I was 5 with my brother every weekend. Movie is fun to watch! Ignore 'Top Critics' scathing reviews!My husband and I don't normally watch 'Hollywood style' movies, but we laughed out loud at this movie, all the way through it. Sure, it has some 'goofy' parts, but, overall, it's a fun movie. We found it hard to believe that all four of the 'Top Critics' gave it such scathing reviews. We couldn't help but notice that these reviews were written on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, and the day after Xmas—when most people are spending time with families and friends. Perhaps this sad fact provides a clue as to why the Top Critics didn't 'get' the movie? ?? (As for the movie’s ‘incorrect portrayal of anyone under 55’ — one of the reasons we enjoyed the movie so much was because the 'language', 'outlook', and 'habits' of the 40’ish parents and their children in the movie was eerily similar to that of several modern-day families we know!).Score: 4/5
