This would have been an ok series, if I hadent already Read the Books,I have read all 7 of the Imortal Instruments books, and the Shadow hunter accadamy books a couple of times, though they tried to make this show interesting, the only way this story line is like the book, is in character name . they never jumped to a different plane untill book 7, alek NEVER was engaged to be married. izzy never had to stand trial with the calve, where Magnus was her representive that is a joke. and the wrongness of the tv show story line just keeps going. this story lise is from a shadow hunter series, from a different dimention. If you want the story to make sence, read the book, but then you wont like ther series anymore.Score: 3/5
GREATEST SERIES EVERHonestly, everyone keeps saying it's nothing like the books, but really??? Does it have to be?? It's so good, no one cares whether it's like the books or not. The plot is amazing and NOT predictable, just like the books. I love this series and I encourage everyone to buy at least one episode to try it out(in order). Trust me, it's worth it. DisappointingThe show does not follow the plot of the book and the characters are just annoying. (they do however match thier discriptions so that’s one plus.) It would be better if it wasn't based off the mortal instruments and it was a different plot entirely. The Shadowhunter books are one of my favorite books series but the show does not live up to it. If you are expecting it to be like the books I do not recomend it..Score: 1/5
Amazing in some waysI loved the books and I love this show even though I feel like clary and jace could have been played by better actors, clary is almost nothing like the book and she has acting issues, and jace has like no emotion. But I absolutely love the series regardless! Malec is amazing. But the first season alone covered the first two and half books so it'll be interesting to see how they keep it intresting. Hope to see this show continue!.Score: 5/5
