Dynasty (Classic), Season 4 Release Date and Synopsis

Season four of the primetime soap begins right where the third left off, with Krystle and Alexis trapped in a burning cabin. Mark rescues them but becomes the one accused of arson and attempted murder until Alexis finds out that Joseph was the real culprit. Later, Fallon and Jeff uncover evidence suggesting that Adam poisoned Jeff, but Adam frames Alexis for it. Blake offers Krystle a public relations job before they get remarried and she later gets pregnant. Meanwhile, Steven and Blake fight over little Danny because Blake believes that a homosexual cannot provide a proper role model. As Alexis tries to ruin one of Blake's business deals, Kirby finds out the truth about her father's suicide and tries to kill Alexis. Alexis gets in more of a mess when Mark falls off her balcony and dies following a quarrel with her. In the season finale, Alexis is arrested for Mark's murder, Sammy Jo reveals the culprit behind Claudia's mystery calls and Fallon suffers a seizure and drives off as her wedding is about to begin.

Despite having an affair with Matthew's wife, Claudia, it is the death of Ted at the hands of his father that lands Blake on trial for murder. The season ends with the arrival of a mystery, surprise witness called by the prosecution.

Sammy Jo decides to move to New York to become a model and announces that she no longer wants to keep her son. In the season finale, Alexis traps Krystle in a cabin and offers her $1 million to leave Blake before somebody sets the cabin on fire with them inside.

Blake is devastated by his fear that Krystle's disappearance at the end of season eight may by a severe mental disorder. Krystle has a serious brain tumor and has a risky surgery in Switzerland that leaves her in a coma. Meanwhile, a murder and secret the ties together the Carrington, Colby, and Dexter is uncovered, causing Alexis and Sable to square off over business and then over Dex. In the series finale, Alexis threatens to sue Blake for half of a plundered Nazi treasure unless Sable withdraws her lawsuit against Colbyco. Sable agrees and Krystina leads Fallon to the treasure, and they are followed by Dennis Grimes. Blake and Handler face each other in a shoot out, while Dex and Adam square off on each other. Dex is hurled into Alexis and Sable, sending all three over a rail, crashing down on the landing below.

Matthew Blaisdel threatens to Kill Blake to insure Krystle's cooperation, Alexis is saved from certain death by a mysterious and handsome stranger, Sean Rowan, Dana and Adam fly off on their honeymoon and Jeff finds Fallon's unconscious body abandoned in the desert. As the season progresses, their marriage begins to once again fall apart. They are not the only couple who experience trouble: Steven and Sammy Jo don't have a very long reconciliation, while the desire for children destroys Adam and Dana's marriage. Alexis marries Sean, unaware that he is Joseph's son and Kirby's brother who is out for revenge. In the action-packed season finale, Sean takes Leslie's baby and holds her captive. Finding the location of the call through a wire tap, Adam and Steven hurry to the desolate mountain cabin. They find Leslie badly beaten, but Sean has already taken off with the baby. Chasing after him, Adam and Steven find him and get back the baby, but not before Sean is able to escape. Grappling with all the uncertainty in his life and Sammy Jo's current love affair with Jeff, Steven decides to leave Denver. Meanwhile, concerned about Krystle's sudden headaches, Blake places a call to her doctor. Returning to the Carrington mansion, he finds their room a total mess, and Krystle gone.

Later, she finds out that she is the heiress to a huge fortune. Steven meanwhile marries Claudia but ends up leaving her for a man. At the end of the season, Fallon returns with amnesia while the rest of the family travels to Europe for Amanda's wedding to Prince Michael of Moldavia. In one of the most famous cliff hangers of the series, the season finale finds Dex being kidnapped by Yuri and his gang as Amanda and Michael recite their wedding vows. Dex breaks free from his captors and heads for the chapel, where terrorists have opened fire on the entire wedding party.
