Based on the popular cult comic book franchise of the same name, Preacher is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together, and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

OutstandingSo far: Possibly everything I could hope for in an adaptation of one of my favorite comic book series ever. Excellent casting, brilliant script, all that. I liked the comic and this is pretty enjoyable!It does not match the comic, but it's not a comic so you should be okay with that! It's very similar but the characters meet differently and Arseface is already an established character so it's got a lot of differences. That said, it's a great start. Howard Stark as Jessie, Rudy from Misfits as Cassidy, Nikki from Misfits (also played Rani from S.H.I.E.L.D.) as Tulip make for a great cast..Score: 4/5
Cringe worthyDid Tarantino & Rodriguez direct and write the script because it sure feels like it, down to the music selection & whimsical plot. No clue where this is going but so far it's fun to watch! If you like the series True Blood, where it took a full season to get hooked, this is for you..Score: 5/5
Do it for TulipRead a bit of the comics and while this is very different I find it gory and fascinating. Tulip is a great character. Honestly Tulip is the only reason you'll need to start watching. There's also some crazy cool fight scenes..Score: 5/5

I love this show.I can't remember the last time I got hooked by a show so fast. I've only seen two episodes but this might be one of my favorites. I've never read the comic, but this is still highly entertaining- wickedly funny, profane, and mysterious. If you're not watching, you need to start!.Score: 5/5
Expected disappointment.Didn't expect much. I felt the only way to do a live action version of the comic was a movie or a mini series directed by somene like Quentin Tarantino. ****SPOILER**** The last scene where the guy cuts out his heart wasn't necessary it just made it weird and awkward. In the comic Jesse has the biggest pair of balls of any fictional character so big they make Hemingway John Wayne and Steve Mcqueen cry in the Pilot honestly wasnt sure he was a man and Cassidy's fake accent was just god awful.
