Gives what you expectIt's a TV show based on a series of books that I read. There was a movie, but didn't do well enough for a sequel. This TV show is entertaining and keeps the series alive through screen. If you go into it looking to pick it apart; you will. Love ItEven though this genre is something I am interested in, I had never heard of this series until the show began last year. I kept seeing it on Tumblr, so decided to watch. About five episodes had aired already, so I started watching them On Demand and was immediately hooked. So much so that I decided I needed to read the books. I really enjoyed Season 1 and so far Season 2 has been better. I think during Season 1 it was all new to them and most of the actors were newish and it wasn't always written well, but again I enjoyed it. SO far in Season 2 you can tell the actors are more comfortable, the change in showrunners/writers/etc. has made a huge difference. People get upset because it doesn't follow the books completely, but they've said all along the books are the bones of the show, basically the end results will be the same, but how they get there might be different. And it has been, some things are happening before they did in the book or happening a little differently, but thats typical of something based off a book. And I honestly believe that the TV show has fixed some of the issues I had with the book which is great, plus they aged them up in the show. All in all, it's pretty good, definitely entertaining..Score: 4/5
