The season that ran out of steam...The final season is where TNG ran out of steam often with tired stories or good stories told badly. There are some highlights such as the showās finale, All Good Things, Parallels and The Pegasus. But by and large, there is much to avoid such as Sub Rosa, Masks, Bloodlines, Dark Page and so onā¦ Whilst the writing is tired, the series was also trying to set up some ground work for Voyager (Journeyās End and Preemptive Strike) and prep the TNG movie. There is also a sense of smugness in this season as if the cast and crew were almost too comfortable with it all. So, my recommendation if to pick your favourites and leave the rest for this season....Score: 3/5
