This classic film is the original and considered the best adaptation of A Christmas Carol ever made. Sir Seymour Hicks gives a riveting performance as Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens's timeless classic. Scrooge is a mean old miser who wants nothing to do with Christmas, bitterly rejecting the company and well wishes of his fellow man. But on this Christmas Eve, Scrooge's former partner, Jacob Marley, an invisible but forceful ghostly presence, visits Scrooge to warn him that his time is running short. Throughout the long, cold night, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future appear to Scrooge, taking him on a journey into the very spirit and magic of Christmas itself. Classic Dickens Feel to this Christmas Carol VersionThis 1935 Christmas Carol movie is the earliest and the best adaptation. It’s not modern and slick, but it’s got the feel of old England at Christmas. Cold and foggy and just the way you want to imagine it. Not the complete film!! It's available on You Tube.This is not the complete film. The original is 78 minutes long, not one hour. And those 18 minutes make a big difference. I found that out - after i purchased this not good, not HD, not well restored version - by seeing the FREE black and white version available on You Tube!! I didn't like this movie after i watched this download. But after seeing the complete version, i changed my mind. It is a very version of Scrooge/A Christmas Carol, but this download doesn't do it justice..Jyw1324Score: 2/5
