Fascinating new take on the Serpico storyFrank Serpico is a truly fascinating look at a man who’s trying to emotionally balance who he really is versus who the media made him out to be. The way Serpico tells his story through his own re-enactments is very engaging and different from a lot of documentaries I’ve seen. Coming from the perspective of a former NYPD officer, I feel that this film has a chance at shedding more light on the underlying problem we’ve faced with abuse of power in the last few decades. Serpico’s story is an important one to reflect on because he helps us all to question why such corruption exists in the first place. How Antonino D’Ambrosio chose to direct this narrative was very thought provoking and effective through his documentary..Score: 5/5
