Newly-paroled former US Army ranger Cameron Poe is headed back to his wife, but must fly home aboard a prison transport flight dubbed "Jailbird" taking the “worst of the worst” prisoners, a group described as “pure predators”, to a new super-prison. Poe faces impossible odds when the transport plane is skyjacked mid-flight by the most vicious criminals in the country led by the mastermind — genius serial killer Cyrus "The Virus" Grissom, and backed by black militant Diamond Dog and psychopath Billy Bedlam.

A fav of mine of all timeGreat action movie. it really draws u in. a former marine who accidentally winds up in jail for killing self defense. he doesnt get to see his daughter who was born after he went to jail for 7 years. when he finally gets to go home on a prisoner shipping plane, the inmates take control of the plane. he must work with us marshall john cusack to stop the inmates from escaping. john malkovich's cyrus the virus is stone cold creepy. go see it with its good speacial efects, story and action.Michael Mc MetalScore: 5/5
Worth WatchingI remember watching this for the first time years ago and loved it, now it just seems like just another action flick. Sure the action is great but the story just seems a little out there for my taste, but that is what a movie is I guess. It is still worth seeing at least once and the comedy alone in it was great and orginal. I must admit I am not the biggest Nick Cage fan but he was great in his role as an army ranger with a southern accent.
