The Prince of TidesThis film keeps the viewer in love and in suspense. Even troubled pasts could be faced and admitted and dubiously go back to his family to live his real life, realizing lust doesn't last. It tricks us all at some point. Beautifully written about elephants ... They don't belong in your living room. A must see.

Like Butter For ChocolateI loved the book and just finished watching the Criterion Collection DVD. Had to come back and buy it on HD. Really worth it. Exceptional film about the Power of Love. Romantic love, familial love, healing ❤️🩹 love. It’s amazing what Love can do when you open your heart. This film healed me. So much talent in one film: Streisand (beautiful as ever), Nolte (scrappy Southern fighter), Carlin (scene-stealing hilarious), Blythe Danner (excellent actress) and Kate Nelligan (strong Southern mama).
