After making a horrific discovery in the basement of an old abandoned church, Trish (Gina Philips) and her brother Darry (Justin Long) watch their routine road trip home turn into a heart stopping race for their lives. One of my favourite films of 2001Jeepers Creepers is a throwback to the slasher films of the 80s,without it being a slasher film.Director Victor Salva(Powder)I believe brought us a different kind of horror picture,one that doesn't really relie on gore that much but on imagies.The movie starts out with siblings Darry (Justin Long) and Trish (Gina Philips)are driving home for spring break and are nearly run off the road by a manic in a old beat-up truck with the coolest lisecne plate B-EATNG-U and later on to find him shoving/throwing what looks like a body down a sewer pipe at an old church.After the driver of the truck tries to run them off the road again,Darry and Trish decide to go back to the church to see if anyone needs help,what they discover at the bottom of the pipe is far worse then they could have ever imagined and now the creeper as his sights set on the siblings.The design of the creeper(played by Jonathan Breck)is a really neat,new and fresh look to see.There are alot of twisted scenes like the tounge scene for example.I had a total blast watching Jeepers Creepers in the theater,I love the thrill of being scared and this was one of the most stylish horror films I've seen in a long time..Sarahjs1228Score: 4/5

Amazing!!I'm a horror genre buff and I watch them all; the good, the bad, and the so bad they're funny. This is one of the very rare ones; it's great. The monster is utterly fantastic. You've never seen a creature like this one unless you've seen the movie "It Waits". He was so well done he actually scared me and I haven't been scared since I saw "The Exorcist" when I was 14. Justine Long was amazingly good in this. I never caught him acting. He does terror very, very well. Deutsch Die Geschwister Trish und Darry befinden sich auf der Heimfahrt vom College in die Sommerferien zu ihren Eltern. Plötzlich werden sie auf einer abgelegenen, einsamen Landstraße mitten im Niemandsland von einem alten, verdreckten Truck von der Straße gedrängt. Schockiert setzen sie ihre Fahrt fort und sehen kurze Zeit später den besagten Truck an einer alten Kirche stehen. Im Vorbeifahren beobachten sie, wie eine massige Gestalt ein menschengroßes, in ein Laken gehülltes Bündel, von der Ladefläche hebt und in einem Erdschacht verschwinden lässt. Die große Angst vor dem Fremden wird schließlich von Darrys Neugier besiegt und die beiden kehren wider jegliche Vernunft um und machen eine grauenvolle Entdeckung. Sie untersuchen die Erdröhre, dabei verliert Darry den Halt und stürzt in die dunkle Tiefe.
