Academy Award winner Holly Hunter stars with Queen Latifah and Danny DeVito in the story of a woman struggling to find herself and her place in the world when her husband of 15 years leaves her for a younger woman. Judy Moore (Hunter) keeps the Manhattan townhouse, enough money to live comfortably ... and a deep emptiness inside. But through a series of surprising new relationships weaving between Judy's fantasies and the sumptuous world of contemporary New York, Judy begins to discover herself and her place in the world.
Judith Moore is suddenly single after discovering her husband of fifteen years, a successful doctor, has been having an affair with a younger woman. Judith stews, plans, plots and fantasizes, but she can't decide what to do with her life until she goes out to a night club to see singer Liz Bailey, who is full of advice on life and love. While out on the town, Judith is suddenly kissed by a total stranger, which opens her eyes to new possibilities... which is when she notices Pat, the elevator operator in her building.

MeaninglessA series of scenes, which can be entertaining, but together they don't add up to anything. This film is less than the sum of its parts. The plot, such as it is: attractive wealthy woman is mildly inconvenienced sometimes. There's hardly any drama, because nothing ever goes terribly wrong. Even DeVito's character seems to just shrug off a major tragedy in the beginning and never speaks of it again..Score: 2/5
