While hiding from bullies in his school's attic, a young boy discovers the extraordinary land of Fantasia, through a magical book called The Neverending Story. The book tells the tale of Atreyu, a young warrior who, with the help of a luck dragon named Falkor, must save Fantasia from the destruction of The Nothing.

One Of My All Time Favorites!!From the very 1st time I saw this movie (almost 30 years ago), it has always been one of my favorite family films of all time! I have seen it probably around 100 times and never get tired of it. It is definitely one of the best Family/Fantasy films ever made. From beginning to end you never get bored. A beautiful story all around-some action, fantasy, magical, heartwarming, fun, sad, happy, adventure, along with some lessons about life, loss and growing up. Just superb! I can't sat enough wonderful things about this movie. I'm 41 years old now and I still love and enjoy watching this movie. Never Ending StoryReally the only reason I watch this movie is to look at Noah Hathaway. He is soooooooo hot!!!!!!! He's one a my all time favorite actors. Deutsch Der zehnjährige Bastian, ein Träumer und Bücherwurm, wird in der Schule immer wieder von seinen Mitschülern gequält. Als er eines Tages auf der Flucht in einem Antiquariat ein Buch namens „Die unendliche Geschichte“ sieht, stiehlt er es, versteckt sich auf dem Dachboden seiner Schule und beginnt zu lesen: Das Land Phantasien wird von einem alles verschlingenden Nichts bedroht. Die Herrscherin von Phantasien, die kindliche Kaiserin, wählt den jungen Atreju aus, um nach einer Rettung zu suchen. Sein Weg führt ihn durch das Land der menschlichen Phantasie, doch er scheint seinem Ziel kaum näher zu kommen. Doch während er noch liest, fühlt Bastian plötzlich eine Verbindung zu Atreju und die Erkenntnis reift, dass er die Rettung des Landes sein könnte.

Film vznikal v mnichovských ateliérech a podílelo se na něm spoustu trikových specialistů. Jde o příběh malého chlapce Bastiena, kterému se v antikvariátě dostane do rukou kouzelná knížka. Chlapec se tam schová před svými pronásledovateli a stařičký majitel si brzy všimne chlapcova zájmu o knihu. Při jejím čtení se Bastien stane součástí Nekonečného příběhu. Příběh apeluje na potřebu porozumění, lidských citů a imaginace, bez nichž není možná existence říše Fantazie, jež je součástí každého z nás. Úspěšný film se dočkal dalších dvou pokračování, jejichž hrdinou je opět dorůstající Bastien.

Az uralkodóno egyre gyengébb, mert birodalma veszélybe került, mind nagyobb területet pusztít el a Semmi. A császárno úgy érzi, országa addig van biztonságban, ameddig o él. Ahhoz azonban, hogy életben maradjon, szüksége van egy különleges, fantáziatlanság és reménytelen álmodozás elleni gyógyírra, s ezt a gyógyírt kell Atreju-nak elhoznia. Bastian annyira átéli az eseményeket, hogy egyszer csak ott találja magát Fantázia kellos közepén.

Den aldrende ejer giver Bastian en magisk bog, hvor han kan læse om en helt på hans egen alder i et fortryllende eventyrland. Langsomt forstår Bastian at han også selv er en vigtig del af historien, og pludselig bliver han draget ind i kampe mod de onde kræfter der truer med at udslette landet.

Slovenčina Malý Bastien, ktorý žije po matkinej smrti iba s otcom, je obdarený veľkou fantáziou. Jedného dňa ukradne v starom kníhkupectve záhadnú knihu, ktorá ho mimoriadne fascinuje. Schová sa na povale školy a začne čítať. Kniha rozpráva o nebezpečenstve, ktoré hrozí krajine Fantázia a jej neobyčajným obyvateľom. Čoraz väčšiu časť krajiny pohlcuje nebezpečná Ničota. Katastrofu zavinili ľudia, ktorí stratili svoje sny, a práve tie tvoria piliere Fantázie. Jediný, kto môže Fantázii ešte pomôcť, je mladý Atrej, bojovník z kmeňa lovcov a Bastienov dvojník žijúci v ríši Fantázie. Kniha čoraz väčšmi vťahuje do seba svojho čitateľa a Bastien, aby pomohol zachrániť ríšu Fantázie, sa napokon stane súčasťou jej Nekonečného príbehu.
