Right end to the season told in the wrong waySPOILER ALERT: The final season started off with a new character and an intriguing plot only to bottom out late in the middle. I figured Dexter would survive everything, but suffer great loss in the end. Dexter has kind of run the opposite course of Breaking Bad in that BB's main character descended into a downward spiral of evil and loss of humanity. Dexter seems to have finally found his humanity but in doing so, he loses everything, including the ghost of Harry and perhaps even his "Dark Passenger". It is a fitting end , that was just quite frankly poorly delivered. It seemed like the series really ended in late mid season and the final episodes were just a few extra chapters of poorly constructed bonus content..Score: 3/5

Disappointing Conclusion.Iâm a huge fan of Dexter, or I should say I used to be. Unfortunately, I can honestly say I cannot think of anything positive to say about this final season. It was horrible in every way. The storyline was stupid, the conclusion was laughable. If you are a fan of Dexter, please stop after Season 6, and you can continue to be a fan. After seeing this horrible excuse for a final season, I have lost my taste for Dexter. It will be difficult for me to watch even the first 6 seasons, which were all excellent. Season 7, while not nearly as bad as season 8, still lacked the magic that made Dexter awesome. Shame on you, Showtime, for ruining one of the best shows ever. Ooh, on a positive note, Dexter has knocked Seinfeld off the pedestal reserved for that show with the stupidest finale..Score: 1/5

Brave ending to a great seriesI watched all eight seasons back to back over the span of a few months. I thought the writers did a great job developing the characters. They could've gone for a typical Hollywood ending, but were brave enough to choose an ending that I feel really does reflect the reality of the characters involved. There is no happy ending for a serial killer. Thank goodness for my "boring" life..Score: 4/5
BEST SEASON YETDexter Season 8 is great. I think the producers and actors have successfully shown Dexterâs evolvement into a human being, rather than a serial killer. The ending made me cry for about 20 minutes, I loved it so much! I could not recommend this more, it is the perfect series to get your mind going and change your own outlook on life. Lowest of the LowThis season was just horrendous, it took a plot that could have been executed in 4 episodes and dragged it out to 12. It includes so many unneeded, poorly written and planned out side stories that it just clogged up anything interesting that was happening. The ending has been revealed to be heavily âinfluencedâ by the network to hopefully produce a spin-off by leaving as many doors open as possible, leading to little or no resolution. This season emulated everything that could go wrong with a good show being kept on the air past its prime years, and is an insult to the many good season had by the show, including the penultimate season 7, which was one of its best. Avoid this season at all cost, its not worth of yours, nor anyone elseâs time or money..Score: 1/5

Dishonest since Job's departureWhat has happened to Apple since post Steve Jobs? Last Dexter episode 25th August. Simply not worth buying the season pass and will never do so again!!
