Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of school – but that's the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology texts and into his life – and they're not happy. Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must return Zeus' stolen property and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Accident prone teenager, Percy discovers he's actually a demi-God, the son of Poseidon, and he is needed when Zeus' lightning is stolen. Percy must master his new found skills in order to prevent a war between the Gods that could devastate the entire world.

Usually like changes......not this timeChris Columbus did an excellent job with staying faithful to the books with the first two Harry Potter films while also adding his own content to make it stand out. This movie? Not so much. He used twelve-year olds with HP. Why not with Percy Jackson? There are a lot of errorsA shield in the first book? No, he gets it at the end of the second book. A quest to get pearls? No, a water spirit gives them to Percy and the quest is to return the bolt and stop the war. No mention of Ares or Clarisse, who played big parts throughout the series. Bad movie in general, besides plot changesYes, I have read the books. Yes, I understand that when making a movie based on a book you often need to change things. But this movie is all around bad. Just looking at the film itself and not caring about what they changed, it was a bad movie. No plot build up, low quality acting, cheesy sets and costumes, not much character development or depth, poorly done fight scenes, and bad special effects. Now about the book to movie changes. This movie completely changed around the plot. And it wasn’t for the better. I mean come on the least you can do is find a blonde for annabeth. And the movie just felt like it was very fast paced and there wasn’t much time to process everything. All and all, you would need to tie me to a chair to watch this again..Musicaltrash🙂💄🐾Score: 2/5

Percy JacksonNext to Harry Potter and The Hunger Games, Percy Jackson is perhaps my favourite book series. However, I would have liked it more if they made it more like the book. TerribleThis movie was NOTHING like the book at all. For one, they got all of the characters wrong. They are supposed to be 12 for goodness sake.
