Disturbing, weird, and campy… Smith at his most bizarre.I am not a huge fan of Smith’s films, although I really enjoyed “Red State” for mocking the insanity of the modern religious movement. Although I found this movie entertaining, it never reaches the bitting wit and social commentary presented in Red State. Sure, the movie was funny in parts, certainly disturbing, and most assuredly bizarre, but it lacked that bit of magic that really makes Smith’s work stand out from the rest. As a Frankenstein inspire film full of gross out thrills, this movie succeeds. But as a testament to his incredible film making ability, I think he really missed his mark with this one. It was good, but for Smith, Good is just not good enough. One thing has to be said; The acting was superb, in particular Dr. How and Genesis Rodriguez. I was so invested in each character, that I actually felt for them, which is very rare for me as far as American films are concerned. While the script was a bit goofy and far-fetched, Dr.Who and Genesis really brought some humanity into the film, and made me care about what was transpiring..Score: 3/5
One of the worst movies of 2014......or any year. Kevin Smith made one passable movie years ago with "Clerks" and it seems Hollywood has been financing one disaster after another on the hopes that he would strike gold again. Unfortunately, when your financing an untalented, arrogant ego maniac with an endless supply of hockey jerseys and not much else to offer, you're going to end up with garbage like "Tusk"..Score: 1/5

So, Kevin Smith Lost His Mind? That's a ShameIt's been a few hours since I finished watching this film and I'm still confused by what I saw. Apparently, the "I'm a Mac" guy is a sleazy YouTube sensation that travels to Canada in search of someone to mock and ends up turned into a MacDonald's mascot by a freaky Walter White lookalike. This film was just dumb. I really can't describe it more than that. It wasn't really funny. The "scary" parts are negated by the fact that we don't care about the victim. The unrealistically hot girlfriend and bloated "I see dead people" friend are superfluous and really don't add anything to the film. Johnny Depp is wasted in this film (Really? A Canuck Pink Panther?). Basically, Kevin Smith should stick to Clerks/Mallrats films because he's been a dud with pretty much everything else..Score: 2/5

Disgusting!!Completely unfunny and more just disgusting and crude. The movie is from some dumb stoner idea Kevin Smith had. It’s a horrifically gross film where the main character is left mutilated and disfigured, an idea which Kevin Smith finds hilarious. The lack of empathy shows how far Kevin smith has fallen from his debut of Clerks. The plot/story is stupid and the ending is worse. Kevin Smith shows a complete lack of humanity with this movie. The fact that he finds this movie funny shows you how inhumane, insensitive, and desensitized he’s become to normalcy. Save your money & time and skip this movie. A complete waste of time (and that's me being nice)I could almost hear my brain cells whimpering in agony as they died slow, painful deaths due to this movie. One of the few movies that can be used to measure the negative intelligent quotient by gaging how much dumber a person is after watching. Don't rent, and certainly don't buy.
