Unbelievably Bad!I bought the whole first season, having heard favorable reviews, and Itunes was practically giving it away. After getting through about half of the pilot, now I know why (the giving away part). The format has about 20% of the time is spent moving the story along, and 80% watching the characters espouse their thoughts on life directly to the camera. It's self indulgent crap, devoid of any comedy or drama, which could interest only acting students and vicarious acting buffs. I could not be more offended..Score: 1/5

Great comedyIf you're looking to own one of the greatest comedies, look no further kids! Definitely collect this series. However, I would also recommend the original British version to REAL fans if you have not seen it. I actually saw that series before this Americanized version. Both are funny, but the British version's humour can be less obvious to the "everyday American". This version will have you in tears!.Score: 5/5

Not quite as good...This, in my opinion, was definately good but in no way equal to that of the British version. I just felt the British version to be so much more original, and thus funny. This is not to say that this isn't good... but I think that for the true 'The Office' experience, watch the Brit version..Score: 3/5

Not as bad as I thought it would beThis US version hasn't done a bad job but still isn't a patch on the original. Steve Carell is pretty good as the Brent character and the rest of the cast support quite well. Only one I didn't like was the guy taking Gareth's place. Not terrible but not great either..Score: 3/5

UK - give it a whirl, you will come to love itThe first series on its own admission is a pale immitation of the British Office - it's funny but not hilarious, however as the series progress and the American writers and performers get to do their own thing it just gets better and better. Steve Carell is obviously brilliant but the whole cast just grows in confidence and become better defined and the results are hilarious. BJ Novak (Ryan the temp) and Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor) write superbly as well as perform. Among all this you have the genius of Dwight Shrute (Rainn Wilson) and Andy Bernard (Ed Helms - the hangover) two of the best TV characters ever and the Tim/Dawn (in the US Jim & Pam) relationship is developed more. Start the journey folks - there are six series and it's addictive. You will love it - promise..Score: 5/5
