Throughout history, crucifixion has been one of the cruelest and most excruciating ways to die. Approximately 500 years before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Persian King Darius crucified political opponents and both Alexander the Great and Caligula used crucifixion as a means of punishment and entertainment. Watch as a team of forensic experts reconstruct a 2000-year-old body using the only physical evidence of a crucifixion ever discovered. Modern day footage will show real crucifixions that take place in the Philippines. Recreations will be used along with extensive CGI animation and CSI forensic-style graphics to illustrate the different types of crucifixion techniques throughout history and how it eventually kills its victim..

Great ShowsFirst I have to say that the price is not too much. when you add 1.99 and 3.99 together with over 100 episodes you find that is the correct price. Anyway you can just buy the shows separately. I love the shows on The History Channel, very informative and worth the price..Score: 5/5
3.99$ Hahaha good luck with that one :)Greed plain and simple. Oh they will come up with some reason why it has to cost this extra amount, but its bull. I purchased all of the first episodes at a fraction of this cost and they are not worth 4 bucks a pop..Score: 3/5

Cost per episode reasonableI have been a fan of the History Specials for years. I don't get everyone listed as some appeal but other episodes don't. As far as the cost goes, I feel that compared to the other prices per episodes for a 24 - 42 min episode, a episode lasting over 60mins at a cost of $3.99 is reasonable..Score: 5/5

FrustratedI bought 5 History Channels episodes and have been unable to down load them on my IPhone. My iPhone is not jail broken and I have accepted all the terms and conditions. I have been charged for the Episodes and if I try and report a problem, it fails to connect to the iTunes website. Surprising but I have no problems if I want to buy another episode. Is Apple denying me access when I have a problem? For this reason I am writing about this on this Review template as I don't know how else to connect with Apple. Lots of flash, not much substance...The History Channel Specials are a weird mix of science, history, pseudo-science and conspiracy theories. It's obvious that more emphasis has gone into the entertainment value than education, as the viewer is bombarded with snippets of info (some of which is questionable) without much explanation. This has resulted in inconsistant quality of the specials. For example: "Crash: The Next Depression" offered a clearer explanation of the financial crisis than the equivalent Frontline episode and was a quality show on its own. Whereas "The Gates of Hell" was disjointed and boring, leaving the viewer with more questions than answers. I recommend this series for those who think "Ghost Hunters" are real..Score: 3/5

While i generally Enjoy programs like this i was Bored watching it, It looks like it was made on a shoestring budget and parts that are historically interesting like for example the great Bombardment, It;s pretty much skipped by with one scientist calling it a theory..then that was it! no more said about it..Score: 2/5
